Sam and Ben have a beautiful energy between them. They are just fun to be around!
We had a great time at their Toledo engagement photography session. The grand trees, blooming dogwoods, and open lake of Oak Openings was the perfect backdrop for their engagement session.

• How did you two meet?
  A. It was a beautiful Saturday morning in June when Ben was lucky enough to meet Sam in a Walgreens parking lot to get a ride to a frisbee tournament. Thanks for setting that one up Pedrom 🙂
  
  After ultimately going their separate ways and playing for opposing teams, it wouldn’t be long until the two were reunited on the shores of Lake Michigan at Montrose Beach for Sandblast (beach frisbee tournament for those that don’t know).
  
• Tell us the proposal story
  Twas a cold and breezy morning waking up in the campervan in Bryce Canyon, UT. Sam + Ben went for a stroll to watch the sunrise for the third morning next to the tree they named Hector. Ben thought he would be clever and tell Sam he was setting a timer on his phone to take a photo of them together. Little did she know Ben was setting up a video to record the proposal.
  
  Five years, two furry children and one home later, Sam said yes. And so did Ben 🙂
  
• Q. What was your first date like?
  We didn’t really have a first date. We more met, then re-met, and then never stopped spending time together. We met playing frisbee and have a shared joy in being outside, being active, and being with friends that are like family.
  
  We share a weird, sarcastic sense of humor and simply enjoy being around each other. While no relationship is always easy of course, it does feel easy when we are together. No road trip is complete without the Duet playlist on Spotify.
  
  Even with all we have in common we also balance each other out really well. Ben is very easy going and joyful while Sam likes a plan and is always on a mission. We do our best to tackle things as partners and constantly support each other in our individual endeavors.
