I loved how this Oak Openings summer portrait session with one of my favorite families turned out. The kiddos loved seeing the water at Oak Openings and all of the animals around and I loved catching up with them.

I love seeing them pretty much annually for their updated family portraits. It’s crazy to think I’ve been able to photograph Josiah and Lindsay since 2015. It’s been special to see them and photograph their engagement, wedding, maternity sessions, newborn sessions and now family portraits. It’s been amazing to see their lives, love and their family grow.

Quarantine was hard, right? On so many levels but not having a creative outlet and isolation while I’m typically surrounded by crowds were two pretty big ones for me. Since the stay at home orders have been lifted I’ve finally been able to have photoshoots again and it’s beyond refreshing. I’ve been able to catch up with “friendors” in the Toledo wedding industry and take some marketing photos. One of these friendors I got to work with is the beautiful ladies of Gardenview Flowers.

We had a great evening with a gorgeous sunset and the most lovely models. Jenny created these beautiful floral crowns and had Beauty by Billie Joe pamper the girls beforehand. Little Blue loved being apart of the festivities too. He’s the cutest little guy.

It makes me feel a little old that I took Jessica’s senior photos a few years ago. It doesn’t seem that long ago but apparently time flies when you’re having fun. Since then these two met while working together and a beautiful relationship bloomed from there.

This Wildwood engagement session just screams summer with the warm sun and vibrant summer color. We started the session at wildwood metro park. It was a beautiful night to just walk around and get some photos made. I love how that warm summer sun looks peaking through the trees for these images. The rest of the session took place in downtown Sylvania Ohio. It’s has the cutest relaxed feel for downtown engagement photos and all of the added colors and textures from mainstreet are an added bonus.
