Waaayyyy back in June we photographed an extended family shoot for the Scott Family in Perrysburg Ohio. Grandma was celebrating a big birthday so the whole family traveled cross country to celebrate. What a better time to get an extended family photoshoot taken?

We don’t book too many extended family shoots. They take a lot of coordinating, a lot of enthusiasm and a whole lot of editing. We limit our extended family shoots because getting 20+ people to look and smile is a whole lot harder to do than getting 4 people to look and smile but it’s always worth it in the end.

Growing up my best friends were my cousins. I think it’s pretty safe to say these three girls will be best friends too. Three girls all so close in age are bound to bring a lot of fun to the family.

Grandma had her heart set on getting some photos of her grand babies at her house. I won’t lie, this was not the easiest task. Three babies under the age of two who want nothing to do with sitting still don’t have much patience for photoshoots. Thankfully grandma had some tricks up her sleeves… and by tricks I mean cookies! That’ll make anyone sit still for a few seconds right?

These little girls are so loved and so spoiled! We can’t wait for them to make more memories at grandma’s house.

One of the most common questions we get asked about senior photos is “when should I schedule my senior photos?” Yasmine scheduled at the perfect time! The summer before your senior year is when you should be contacting us to get on our calendar.

One reason being, our fall calendar fills super quick! So if you want photos in the fall we need to get you on the calendar at least a month in advance. Another reason to contact us before the start of your senior year is because once your final year starts it flies by! Before you know it, it’ll be May and you’ll be graduating. Yearbook deadlines are typically around the first of the year so you need to get your photos done before then! Plus by the time spring comes around you’ll be so busy with sports, clubs, college applications and visits and end of the year activities scheduling a photoshoot is a lot harder to do than in the summer!

We met Yasmine at Wildwood to document this exciting time in her life! She is a senior in Sylvania OH– go cougars!! She is involved in their drama club and loves reading. As an ode to her love of books we headed to the new library in Sylvania.

You all know I love when I get to spend time with my couple’s pets! Kaitlyn and Nathan brought Joey their sweet pup to their engagement session at the Toledo Botanical Gardens. He had a way of stealing the show am I right?! After Joey got picked up we spent more time focusing on getting Nathan and Kaitlyn some adorable engagement photos. When we were scheduling the session Kaitlyn really wanted beautiful fall color in their photos. Even though the trees weren’t super cooperative as most were still green for us we still managed to get some lovely color.

After we walked the grounds at Botanical Gardens we headed to downtown Toledo to the warehouse district.

We love these two and can’t wait for their 2018 Zoo Wedding!

Matt and Mallory are adorable! I met Mallory a few years ago while photographing her sister’s wedding. Since Lindsey and Josiah’s wedding was such a blast, I just knew Matt and Mallory’s would be too!

When we met for their engagement session at Wildwood Metro Park in Toledo it was a beautiful fall day with gorgeous light! The weather was perfect and we had a blast walking around the park, learning more about the two of them and taking photos. How cute are they in their rival Ohio State and Michigan Jersey’s! We also took a quick drive over to Sylvania to get more photos at the historical village in Sylvania.

We are so excited for their 2018 wedding at Maumee Bay State Park!

Christina and Robbie.. how cute are they! We met at Oak Openings, coffee and hot chocolate in hand on what seemed to be the coldest day of the year. BUT after you take a look through these photos you’ll agree it was worth it! The color on the trees was beautiful and these two did a great job of keeping each other warm with plenty of cuddles and laughs.

I loved getting to know them better and am excited we get to photograph their 2018 wedding!
