Amanda and Phil were determined to get their Toledo engagement photos done so much so that we took all of these photos in the rain! We met at Wildwood Metro Park in Toledo, OH It was chilly and wet but the smiles and cuddles kept them warm. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, I love how their engagement photos turned out!
We wish them all the best as they get married in 2018 in North Carolina.
Pearson Park photo sessions have been on the regular for us recently. We’ve had engagement sessions there, family sessions, even some senior sessions there this fall.
We take a very limited number of extended family portrait sessions per year but when Jamee, one of our past brides, reached out to us we couldn’t say no. Since they got married they had the sweetest little girl join their family. What a little doll! The session included her parents and brother as well.
It was incredibly windy this Saturday with rain showers here and there but they were troopers and we got some great family photos for them!
Clara is a class of 2018 senior at State Line Christian School in Temperance MI. I was super excited to get to work with Clara since I photographed her sister’s senior photos quite a few years ago. We took a Saturday afternoon to meet at Oak Openings Metro Park in Swanton Ohio. If you don’t mind a little farther drive is such a beautiful place to get photos done and of course we had to hit up the Northwest Ohio spot. It’s such a majestic section of forest.

It is THE BEST when I get to meet up with our wedding couples after they’ve had a baby. Remember The Kramers, our first wedding of 2017 at the Hilton Garden Inn? Well they just made the trip back to our Toledo newborn studio from a Cleveland suburb to get newborn photos of their precious little guy, Colson Thomas.
While it wasn’t in the cards for me to travel to Cleveland within the first two weeks of his new life, the new family of three travelled to me when he was about a month old. It’s a little older than I normally take for newborns but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to meet him and catch up with one of our favorite couples!
Colson was SO good during his session! Even better than some of my one week olds. He was happy to be swaddled up and snoozed the session away so I could get some adorable photos of him.

On November 4th, our last wedding of the year we had a Saint Rose Perrysburg Wedding. Tom and Lauren became Mr. and Mrs. A beautiful traditional Catholic Ceremony was held at the Saint Rose Perish in Perrysburg, OH. Lauren walked down the long aisle in a beautiful gown and cathedral length lace lined veil with her dad eager to meet Tom at the alter. Having a Catholic wedding ceremony was very important to Tom and Lauren since they both have grown up in the Catholic faith. After the couple and their guests partook in mass, the two exchanged rings and vows and sealed the deal with a kiss.
After taking some family formals at St. Rose, we took the party bus to Tom and Lauren’s first home where we were met with a warm welcome by Holly their lovable pup. She was so excited to see her mom and dad.
The bridal party then headed to Sidecut Metro Park in Maumee OH and then to downtown Toledo to get some creative portraits. We stopped at the iconic “Toledo Loves Love” mural.
The party continued to the reception at the Red Willow Event Center in where dinner was served, cupcakes from Glass City Cupcakes were enjoyed and then some serious dancing commenced. But really.. the dancing was insane guys. All of the guests burned a ton of calories while dancing the night away. Such a fun group!
The day was beautiful and filled with so much love! Congratulations, you two. Wishing you all the best!

You guys know I’m a sucker for sentimental locations; well this one pretty much takes the cake. Amanda and Matt chose to have their wedding at the Manor House in November at Wildwood metropark because in November 2016, one day before they closed on their new home, that’s where they got engaged! How sweet is that!
We frequent the the Toledo Wildwood metro park often. Like so often I feel like I could be a tour guide of the grounds with all of the portraits we take there so it was very neat to get to photograph a wedding inside the Manor House! The architecture is gorgeous, all of the antique furniture, stairwells and fine details make for a gorgeous wedding venue.
The couple had the sweetest first look with plenty of tears shed. We then walked around the grounds a bit to get some photos of the two of them at the location Matt proposed. The bridal party of their siblings and friends joined us after their first look to get all of the photos done before the ceremony. That way they could relax and enjoy themselves during cocktail hour.
Matt and Amanda were wonderful to work with! Having a couple so in love and so happy to be getting married makes my job easy. The love they have for each other speaks volumes.
After the nuptials, the party took place at The Blarney event center in downtown Toledo. Navy linens lined the tables while greenery and flowers were perched in beer bottles along side white candles. I love how they tied in elements throughout the wedding like the hops plants in the boutonnieres and beer bottle table arrangements. It was the perfect mix of elegant and fun!
Dinner was awesome! Catered via Pepperoni Tony’s pizza food truck which houses a real brick oven. Hot slices of fire grilled pizza was just what we needed to fuel the party brought by Joe of Book that DJ. Cake and Cupcakes were served for dessert.
Make sure you keep scrolling until the father daughter dance… such sweet moments!
The entire day was perfect and we had such a great time documenting this chapter for Matt and Amanda!

This second birthday photo shoot could not have been more fun! Sadie came to get her photos done at our Toledo indoor studio. She was very excited to put on her new dress, get her hair fixed, paint her nails, and play with the balloons. She danced and jumped and yelled “cheese” at me. Then… the real fun came when we brought out the ice cream! As you can imagine she was so excited. The images pretty much speak for themselves!

Macie Catherine is such a beautiful little lady. We had her 3 month milestone session at our Toledo photography studio.
She has the most stunning blue eyes and is easy with her smiles. Her favorite activities is to watch everything her older sister does, eat, eat and eat some more, and laugh at Pokoyo on Netflix. She is the sweetest little doll babe! It’s been so fun to watch her grow
Joe took Matthew all over town to get some senior photos done for him. The day started at the Toledo Museum of Art, moved to Sidecut Metro Park and ended on the soccer field at Rossford. I think all of that running around town was worth it because Matthew’s photos are pretty rad.
Matthew is a senior at Rossford High School. He customized his senior experience by incorporating some of his hobbies.. fly fishing and soccer. The soccer field is no stranger to us but the fly fishing was a first! We love getting to meet new people and expand our creativity when they bring their hobbies to incorporate into their session.
Megan, our intern at teamLGP, got married last week at the beautiful Nazareth Hall! For the first time in 10 years LGP had the opportunity to photograph a wedding of one of our own and it was magical. First of all she’s apart of our team, secondly we’ve known Megan for years (we did her senior photos!) and we also photographed her two older brother’s engagement and wedding photos.
Megan has been apart of our team for almost two years now. She has been such a pleasure to have on the team! From the very beginning she has been eager to learn, ambitious to push through creative bounds and she has grown to be a real asset to our team. I am so excited to see her next wedding season as she is being promoted to associate photographer. Outside of that though, getting to know Megan on a personal level has been just as rewarding. I’ve loved having her along side me on wedding days!
J.D and Megan’s wedding day at Nazareth Hall was so special! The first look started at their first home in Perrysburg, OH with their adorable pup. How unique is it to have your first look at your first home. On top of that they had one of the most heartfelt ceremonies I’ve ever experienced. Nate, one of their close friends, performed a beautiful God-centered ceremony and they were surrounded by their closest friends and family which made it all the more lovely. In fact, both Joe and I who photographed the ceremony got emotional during the wedding which rarely happens for either of us. We just loved getting to share in such a happy time for one of our own.
The rest of the day was spent celebrating with love, laughter, dancing and doughnuts! Life doesn’t get much better than that!
