Is this not the most perfect spring photoshoot? We met at the Toledo Botanical Gardens just when the grass started turning green and the flowers began to bloom. The weather was beautiful and so were our subjects! This little family is growing and we were so happy to document this exciting time for them.

The wedding of Robert and Christina was perfect in so many ways. They couldn’t have ordered up weather more beautiful! Like the song says it was “sunny and 75” which is pretty lucky for a spring wedding in Northwest Ohio!
The ceremony took place at Harvest Alliance Church in Toledo Ohio with a reception following at the Radisson Hotel at UTMC. In between for the bride and groom portraits we stopped at Swan Creek Park to get some of the pretty spring blooms in their wedding photography.
The first time they’d see each other on their wedding day was when Christina walked down the isle to Robbie to get married. However they did meet before hand, read notes they had written each other and had a moment alone before the ceremony started.
I’m a sucker for lace so Christina’s lace and tule ballgown with a low back and delicate sleeves gave me all the feels throughout the day. The bridesmaids wore floor length mint blue dresses accented with white bouquets. The groomsmen also wore mint green ties and boutonnieres atop their charcoal gray vests.
I think everyone’s favorite part of the day though was seeing Robbie’s reaction to seeing his bride walk hand in hand with her father down the isle to meet him. His reaction is what every girl wants her groom to be on their wedding.
We loved being apart of their spring wedding and wish them all the best in their future together!

Madison wanted a spring senior photography session. It’s typical for seniors to have their session in the summer or fall before their senior year but occasionally we photograph seniors during the spring too. When we were scheduling her session I looked back at my files from previous years to see when the best spring blooms would be around. According to my research we’ve had some beautiful spring blooms in April. So that’s when we scheduled her session.
Unfortunately, winter stayed around much later than usual this year. In fact her senior photography session actually had snow that morning! The Toledo Botanical Garden trees were pretty bare and the ground was pretty brown. Even though it was freezing the blue skies made her session appear warmer than it was. We worked with the surroundings we had and her senior photos turned out beautiful.
Madison is a Notre Dame Academy senior and will be continuing her education this fall at the University of Toledo studying to be a nurse. She has a natural beauty about her and was a breeze to work with. We wish her well on this next exciting chapter in life!
