Style

It is very important to choose a photographer whose style fits the vision you have for your session. We whole-heartedly believe we are not the photographer for everyone. That’s why we sort of interview our clients before booking to help us make sure we are all on the same page.

Simply put we are photographers who strive to produce beautiful-natural photos. The most important thing to us is to create an image you are emotionally drawn to. We want you to look back at your photos and immediately be brought back to how fun the session was and how in love you were. We do what we have to to create that of course buy bringing in the best of the best gear, lighting and our expertise on posing and prompts.

There is no one ‘right’ photographer for everyone – but there is a right photographer for YOU! If we’re not it, no hard feelings! It’s so much more important for us that you find a photographer that fits you than for you to not be satisfied with our style and approach.

Inspiration

You probably aren’t going to like this but here it goes… Don’t have “Pinterest” expectations. It is such a drag to have a board of pins to try to copy. Not only are we not so cool with copying other photographers hard work (we wouldn’t want others to copy our images either!) many times those photos distract you from being in the moment. Being real and raw and creating real emotion in images is what we strive to produce.  We all have different body types, hair, skin tones, posture, personalities, relationships…and all of those things have to come together to make the perfect portrait.  Our ideal client trusts our artistic vision enough to know your best angle, lighting, pose, and features to make the best images.

While you’re focused on “recreating” that Pinterest image you are thinking…”wait, where was her arm, how did she have her head angled?, etc” I can guarantee your images will feel 100% more natural if you are focused on how much you love your fiance and leave the posing up to us.

Pinterest poses are often overused. We want your photos to be unique as I’m sure you do too.

Pinterest is good… for most things!

Don’t get us wrong, we love Pinterest and think its a super valuable resource when planning your wedding. Most likely your florist loves seeing what styles you like, it’s a great resource for outfit planning for your photo sessions, its fantastic to find ideas for your bridal shower or bachelorette weekend, use Pinterest to help you find makeup styles you like to show your makeup artist before your engagement session.
