Dogs are the best! No really they are… they are the best in all shapes and sizes! We absolutely love when we get to meet the fur babies of your family on a photo shoot.

In order to make sure your session goes smoothly here are a few tips!

  1. Plan to have them join at the beginning or at the end of the session

Arrange to have a close friend or family member bring your fur baby at the beginning or the end of the session so they don’t have to tag along for the entire session.

2.  Have them washed and looking dapper. Just like you get ready for the session make sure your pup has had a bath and is looking fresh.

3. Help run out some energy beforehand

If you have a pup two years old or under you understand better than anyone how much energy a puppy can have! Scheduling a walk with them before the session can help them run out some of that energy.

4. Bring incentives and attention getters.

Your dog’s first reaction is to look at you rather than a stranger with a camera. So bringing along treats or toys that we can use to get their attention can be so very helpful! Plus who doesn’t love to give treats to your puppy?

5. Have fun

lgp-peace-295There are no rules or guidelines when it comes to pet photography. If they’re energetic and excited, it’s okay! It’s nothing we haven’t dealt with before. We love to capture the spirit of your pup
