Once upon a time two souls became one. The couple met years ago when they were just kids; eventually life moved Joanna to Europe and Joshua to Florida. Years later Joanna moved back to Toledo and despite the distance, they started a long distance relationship and ended up finding they were meant to be.

Joshua proposed at Disney World last year and the couple began planning the big day! They settled on the Lodge at Oak Openings which is a quaint location in Swanton, OH for their intimate wedding venue. Joanna was very much a DIY bride. She planned and worked with the support of her family to plan a perfect fairytale themed wedding.

One of my favorite pieces from the day was the book made by Joanna’s uncle! It was so unique and such a cool backdrop as they begin the next chapter of their fairytale. That along with the vintage car, novel lined isle runner, plum and gold bouquets and the table arrangements really made for a beautiful wedding.

Much of Joanna’s wedding was DIY but she did have gluten free cupcakes from the always amazing 7 Little Cupcakes
